Oh no! not the Bloody Olympics as well!

as if things arent bad enough! we`ve somehow managed to to win the bloody Olympic games hosting. Why! Why Us!!!! I can see it now! Poxy, Ken Livingstone arena, Tony Blair street.
Prescot pool Blahhhhhh! What really worries me is that we will go grossly overspent ( didnt we with Wembly and the Dome) and the nation will pick up the tab. Whats more the Labour Government will leave a trail of disaster just in time for the Tories to get in and inherit all the problems of sorting it out. We really have something to hang our campaigns on now don`t we Great Britain? we can`t even call it that anymore.

What a master stroke for Chirac getting caught on a live microphone slagging off the "Ros beef" That confirmed that they wouldn`t get the hosting, Like "lambs to the slaughter" we went dancing into the abatoir.

OK so we get to renovate a run down part of the City!!! who owns all the property around that area, capitalist! thats who! and who supports the Labour party the very same capitalists, lets face it they will support whosoever is in power at the time, thats how they become capitalists.

I`m really sick!!! I am positive now that the UK is sinking fast !

Uh, you seems to be the only person who thinks this way, Rob.As I saw ON TV Englad cried of happiness when they found out about this fact.In my opinion Great Britain was the best candidate ( sorry *blush*)
Just be patient and try not to get angry during next 7 years! That's the best advice, I guess.Hmmm, there's one good point, I think. On Tv it was said that a huge sum of money is going to be put into a public transport...

But anyway *symphatetic*

Bye

Well said, Rob, I wholeheartedly agree with you. Any country that sucks up to Bush should be denied the Limpics.
I reckon the limpips should have been given to South Africa.

Thats for sure! have you heard the latest on the Tube today? its all down at the moment . The tube is victorian and successive governments have neglected it to the tune of proper financing, so the Olympics may give them a reason now, but who knows what they should have spent their money on, otherwise. I guess I shouldn`t mix politics with sport? thanks for your visit. Off to Brighton now!

Hi Fluid,
You're right. It's just the cynic in me and it is a fab thing to get. The French didn't deserve it anyway because they are so snobby about their language.
But hey, what's with all these explosions. Not much info coming in right now but I reckon that there are going to be quite a few casualties. This is what we get for supporting that fool Bush. If I had been a victim, I wouldn't blame the terrorist, I'd blame Blair.
Sigh! Why are politicians so dumb?
Ja ne.
Rob, have a great time in Brighton. I was born in Findon Valley and spent many a day in Worthing at Peter Pan's playground and Brooklands pleasure park. Now it's all gay and trendy.
\Sigh!

I thought that you were going to drop the new title? My Mother in law lived in Worthing and so my kids played in the very same playgrounds as you did what a small world. in fact she is burried in the cemetry as you drive from Findon to worthing on the brighton roundabout. She wasnt dead you understand we just buried her :o)) Te He

Rob, My maternal grandmother is buried in the same cemetary. Grampy used to take me there every Sunday. I returned there last year after going to Grampy's funeral. I had some of Grampy's hair, as one does, and I wanted to bury it at the grave of his first wife. He never stopped loving her and I thought that it was the least that I could do. It took my bloody ages to find the grave - it's a huge cemetary - but I finally found it and buried the hair beneath a plant that I planted, like doh, of course, on top of the grave. I'm so glad that a part of Gramps is near his wife. I know he'd be dead chuffed, pardon the pun.
Look forward to when you get back from Brighton.

p.s About to change name....promise...
