Oh yes I love those!I also like the Sterling Hayden quote
"Ive always wanted to sail to the slouth seas, but I can`t afford it" What these people can`t afford is not to go. They are enmeshed in the cancerous discipline of "security" and in the worship of security they fling their lives beneath the wheels of routine and before they know it their lives are gone!
He as a screen actor ( his last role was as the mad general in "Dr strangelove and how I learnt to love the bomb" with peter sellers as the starrring role) and, in his youth, a grand banks fishing vessel skipper, sailed to the south seas many times but I guess money or skill wasn`t his problem
I so agree with you Rob, on your views of "security". As Helen Keller (I think?) said, "Security is a myth. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing at all."
But what I know of you Rob, I can't imagine you have all that many regrets in your life? Few have done, experienced and dared as much as you. So whad up with this post of yours, eh? Feeling a bit nostalgic, perhaps? Or maybe just getting all of us to think a bit?

If you have no regrets, you haven't lived!
Hi Tim! what is it they say? The man that hasn`t made a mistake hasn`t made anything" or something like that :o))
Greig justifies all what we're doing with:
"I'd far rather regret the things I haven't done than the things I have."
That and, "Baby, I'm gonna make you famous!"

The ravings of a sad old man I guess EC? or perhaps just sad for a moment, thanks for your comments
I am fervently hoping for sad "only for a moment." If it is just that, that is OK. No longer than a moment, though, OK?
