Finally I got the electronics and with water spewing out everywhere ( it is a protetype after all) she fired up. I had enought time to fill a two litre plastic container with hydroxy and a mosfet (200amps) blew (Its OK, I can sort that ,or rather my electronics man can) I placed the container of hydroxy in a rubbish bin (dust bin) and placed a firelighter on it. I lit the fire lighter and retired to a safe distance 20 foot? withing a couple of seconds I had the biggest bang that I could possibly have had in my garden without the police being called. My ears were wringing for about an hour . I had my story ready that an aerosol can had been burnt accidentally on the carden bonfire :o) how does that sound? would it stand up? I couldn`t I was dizzy for about five minutes. All the electronics guy could say (having said that it couldnt possibly work right up to yesterday ) was "Christ! whoo hooo! that was definitely hydrogen!
Now its back to the refinements and build a better cell that doesn`t leak water everywhere. boy was that successful or what! perhaps I shouldn`t say too much more?:o)))))

As we say to everyone around our place, "CAREFUL!"
I've not a chance to read earlier posts in your blog Rob. You're playing with making your own Hydrogen fuel cells? Or are you just having fun blowing stuff up.
I guess it is a guy thing. lol:)
Hi Tana! I am trying ( and look like being successfull ) to create hydrogen on demand! last night I produced about two litres or "Hydroxy gas"(hydrogen and oxygen) in as many seconds but the rig blew a mosfet and it was " all stop" until I make a few much needed mods. Yes I guess its a guy thing but I had to prove that what I had made would ignite bearing in mind it was produced from water all I have to do now is to try to manufacture enough to run an ICE internal combustion rngine ie the correct volumn!?? :o(( thats the difficult bit but If you don`t try and fail you don`t have a register point on to ensure that you move forward?
Hang on to your hat Orb!
Yaaaaaaaaaay! permission to land!!!! there there amd there Oh and there!Im over the moon with the hydrogen production of this unit "now ve vill built a bugger one???" mit a bigger bunging :o))Tee Hee
LOL
Cool!
Yes, to be true I have always learned more from adversity and failure than I ever did success. I suppose it comes from all the failure I endured in my 14 years of Figure Skating, whereby my mother thought in doing so, I would "learn how to fail."
"Wha? That's twisted logic," many have said. Well, she is Australian so there you go.
Moreover to learn how to persevere in the face of adversity and the old "at first you don't succeed, try, try again," and all that crap.
Good luck with it. We're all ears. With hearing protection of course. :)
Hi Tana! I guess the more I fail the nearer I am at getting it right ??? or perhaps further away from getting it wrong? not sure about that, but thats my thoughts at the moment.
Have a good week end :o))
LOL!
If'n the blast sent you clear 'cross the Big Pond, please remember to stop in an' say Howdy afore blastin' off again, OK?
(^_^)
Teee Heee E.C! sure will :o))
Sounds like fun to me!
Tim! I`d like to think that eventually I can get it to work an ICE even at tickover. Not too sure about the comittment of the electronics guy, he wants to do his own thing all the time and his suggestions are way off what I want. I guess I`m a control freak?
